The first ever Cannonball MTB race on the rocking CampO MTB course. An enduro style MTB race with four separate race loops with a winner for each course and an overall winner for the day. Timing for these races will be enduro style; beginning and ending at a central location and done on individual tt with you punching the time clock your start and finish. Each race will have a color-coded timecard that corresponds to the color of the loop being raced. To begin the race loop, punch-in and when you’ve completed that race loop, punch-out (just like your first job).
Routes will be in CampO’s private, custom built MTB trail network. The nature of the trails and trail surface will allow us to race in any weather conditions, albeit more challenging if wet :). We will have loops ranging from ride-able by any mountain biker to fun drops and rock gardens. You pick which of the four loops you want to compete on, just one, a couple or all four. Get in as little or as much racing as you want with options for just one 2.5 mile loop up to multiple attempts at each of the 4 loops, you could put in big miles with even bigger challenges, it’s all up to you. Lunch starts at 12:30 and serves thru last call at 2:30P. The racing starts at 10AM and the final runs of the day must start by 2:00PM. Routes will be unveiled here prior to the race weekend, with the potential for an impact from weather we will not lock in on the final routes till we know what conditions will be.
The racing starts at 10AM on Sunday, 3/21/21 at Camp Ondessonk in Ozark, Illinois. Check in and race HQ will open at 8:30AM, as you arrive at camp follow the signs to this location. All registration and waivers will happen online. Online Registration will close March 19th at 7PM, there will be no day of registration. In the event that you or any members of your immediate household have experienced Covid like symptoms within the 10 days prior to the event or if you have an elevated temperature the day of the event, please email us at email@example.com for a full refund of your registration fees.
If you want to spend the night or add some time to your visit at camp jump on here and get in touch with camp to set it up, overnight accommodations available both indoor and out :). https://ondessonk.com/year-round/facility-rental/
When at the event, social distance of 6’ plus and masks are your responsibility, please do your part to not make this an issue for us or any other participant. At all times, when not on the bike racing, please make sure you wear your mask when 6’ of social distance is not possible or when inside race HQ. We ask that you have a mask with you on the ride for the unforeseen times when you might not be in a place to keep social distance (i.e. mechanical, sag pickup, incident). All participants must complete the online waiver here to complete their registration.
The post-race meal will available for finisher and fans/guests who registered. Lunch will be served starting at 12:30PM at race HQ and will be available till 2:30PM.
